sfglllltfsir , . ss Above: Junior Cabinet Left: Junior Oliicers unior Class This year's Junior Class has been very active in planning and sponsoring activities for the past school year. One of the first things done was the ordering of senior rings by all members of the class. Following this was a doughnut sale, and a Bake Auction in which Ken Ton acted as the auctioneer. Two noon movies, Mr. Roberts and East of Edenjl were sponsored for the benefit of the junior class so that the Student Council could pay back money borrowed from the class treasury to finance the Four Preps assembly. Next was the choosing of the name, colors and emblem for the class. They chose the colors coral and beige. and the name Chevaliers.', Soon after they chose the senior jacket and sweater styles. To raise funds for the class treasury a Golden Crumble Candy Sale was put on outside of school. Soon afterwards two noon dances were held to promote the Junior-Senior Prom. This year the Prom. planned and executed by the juniors. went over very well. It was held at the Riviera Country Club with the Penguins entertaining from 10 to 10:30 p.m. The Keith Williams combo was featured for the rest of the evening. The color scheme was of lavcndar. yellow and white. with wishing wells and hand-made baskets for decorations. Finally. the junior class served refreshments at the Education Fair at MHS. Profits from this will go to the quad fund in the name of the class of '59. Ofiicers who made all this activity possible were: first semester, president. Gary Lofgreng vice-president. Sandy Smith. and secretary. Sue liloyd. Second semester, president, Sandy Smith. vice-president. Sue Lloyd. and secretary. Dixie Marley.
