KMC ern CIVIC? Twenty-two girls made up the Advanced Modern Dance Class this year. lt was a full and busy year for them as they performed for P-TA programs, Women's Club conventions, Little Night Piano Concert, Clothing Fashion Show, Educational Fair, HIMLL Highlights, and other special programs for community clubs. The combined classes amounted to 74 students. Last year there were only two Modern Dance Classes, this year there were three and plans have been made for a fourth next year. The combined dance classes presented a most successful dance concert, entitled MDANCE lS ....... . It featured 23 spectacular and interpretive contemporary dances. This was the second year that the Modern Dance Award was given. It is given to the senior who has contributed the most to Modern Dance in her years at MHS. This can be by her ability in dance, enthusiastic support of the program, or choregraphy. She is selected by the advanced class and voted on with secret ballots.
