Seven Monarch wrestlers qualified for the CIF finals. They are Sterling Boyd in the 95-pound class. Don Haddox in the 103-pound class, Dale Deffner in the 112-pound class, Eddie Embury in the 120-pound class, Warren Chick in the 145-pound class. Ken Del Conte in the 175-pound class and Gary Lofgren in the heavyweight division. Haddox finished sec- ond in the finals and Lofgren was fourth. In addition to being first in the league, the Monarchs finished third in the El Camino Invitational Tournament and placed high in the CIF sectionals and CIF regionals.
