I' gr r l' The color and the form of traditional and modern art is expressed on Morningside's campus by members of Monarch art and crafts classes. Crafts classes have produced a multiplicity of articles intended primarily for their own use. such as leatherwork and ceramic objects. Art classes have produced not only those things for their own use-such as paintings, modeling item, drawings, mobiles, etc.-but also a wide variety of things for the benefit of the whole school-such as posters, program covers, banners, stage scenery. etc. On the following pages is a small sampling of some of the best work to be produced by members of the art and crafts classes. Unfortunately, space does not permit identifica- tion ofthe individual artists and craftsmen. I . . I .ffyaj gig, fi aftt o 1 dowfie lfd ,' nj,-V 17 Y ' X O 4 L i EEWJQ WW' ffm! Jfjfj f

The department furnished both the actors and the dancers for this event, which was held June 6 and 7 at the Centinella Bowl. The cast, which was assembled by Mr. Ton, contained over 2000 members. Morningside students played prominent parts. Q The outstanding job don-e on this civic undertaking is another reason we at Morningside teel our drama department IS one of the best in the city. HA Bell for Adlainton A Bell for Adamo boasted of two things which made it a fitting close to a good year. It was one of the first times the play had ever been presented by a high school drama group, and it was enacted by the largest cast of the year. This cast was headed by Ken Del Conte, Chris Cottle, Burton Davies, Sylvia Santany and Warren Chick.
