Panda Grease paint, opening nights, strange costumes, mystic words and situations filled with stark realism-all are part of the strange world of drama. Here at Morningside under the direction of Kenneth Ton the drama department is an important part of school life. All of their efforts-from a short skit to a three act play-are sure to be good entertainment. Monarchs are rightly proud of this fine department and they show it by their support at each production. In our opinion these plays are the finest in the vicinity. We salute the department and their outstanding instructor for their efforts in this field. Nil Remember' Mama? 7 I Remember Mama, the heart-warming story of a Norwegian family living in San Francisco and this year's senior play, starred Ruth Pettijohn, Anna Menelaus and Chet Atlas. lt was presented near the close of 1957. Supporting the stars were Janice Shrader, Julie Guisinger, John Chappell and Ken Del Conte. The story, which was told by Katrin, the daughter who wanted to write, included such incidents in the family history as the family's method of dividing the week's earnings, Dag- mar's trip to the hospital, Katrin's graduation present, the death of Uncle Chris, and finally Katrinis success as a writer.
