Linda Kirby, Sandra Phelps, Joan Carter, June Malor. mrill qeam The Monarchettes were organized for the purpose of providing half-time entertainment for basketball and football games at Morning- side. Ir1 addition to this, the Drill Team allows the girls to develop and increase poise, grace, body balance, leadership qualities, and ease of public performance. A constitution governs the Monarchettes. It provides for executive oflicers as well as marching officers. Any girl may try out for Drill Team at MHS if she has satisfactory recommendations from her teachers. The try-outs take place in the spring of the year.
