RY ASSISTANTS N The purpose of the Library Assistants is to aid students and teachers in finding material for either pleasure reading or for vocational guidance for girls who may wish to become librarians. The Library Assistants took as their project this year the sending of scrap hooks, materials for handicraft, and birthday trays to convalescent soldiers in Ashford Memorial Hospital at White Sulphur Springs, W. Va. The club was divided into groups. each group competing against the other. The club sponsored a Book Week Campaign in November which made it possible to acquire some of the most recent books for the library. A theater party was held in April. Other social functions were omitted. Y- Q I OFFICERS Mary Louise Flumm President Beth Alleman Virginia onnson Vice President Doris Gall J 1 .... if' . ' ' Mary Ann Cox .,., .... The Duces attended most of the basketball games in a body and in this way helped much in the cheering section. The club prided itself in its own club basketball team which rolled over all its op- position, including ,Iack Roberts' strong Reserves. The club entertained several alumni members who are in the armed forces at a party given in their honor. R Y, H OFFICERS Duane Haught ,.,,,, ., ,....
