N COOPERATION with the defense program all clubs of Morgantown High School are required to contribute in some manner toward the winning of the war as a reason for existing. Some of the leading activities in the clubs have been the sale of war bonds and stamps, various scrap drives, and Red Cross work. All clubs are under supervision of the Inter-Club Council which has drafted definite rules conceming club initiations and other matters of import- ance. The Council is composed of representatives from each club. Students are restricted to a membership of two social clubs and one special interest club. Members are not eligible to hold office in more than one club. There are approximately 30 clubs which are classified as social, honor, special interest, credit, service and class. The average number of members in these clubs is thirty-five. Some of the clubs have put forth special effort in bolstering school spirit by active support of the athletics and by showing appreciation for the progress and improvement of the band.
