T Mrty SENIGR HISTORY The members of the class of 1944 chose as their motto, Today we follow, tomorrow we lead. The class colors are red and white and the flowers are red and white carnations. They entered Morgantown High School as sophomores in September, 1941. As juniors, they sponsored the Saint Patrick Swing and in November of this year, the annual Thanksgiving dance, the Turkey Hop. A Senior Class moving picture, All This and Education, Too, de- picting an average day of school life at Morgantown High School for the typical boy and girl student, was shown to the faculty and student body as part of the Class Day program. lt was planned and produced by members of the Senior Class with the aid of the class sponsors and the Photography Club. The senior play, presented in the school auditorium on the evening of April 28, was a comedy in three acts, Ever Since Eve, directed by Mrs. Olive Coffroth. The two most important events of the three years at Morgantown High School for the 268 members of the class of '44, the Senior Prom and gradua- tion, were held on May 26 and May 29. The members of this class have aided in salvage drives and bought war stamps and bonds in addition to other outside war activities. Many of its young men have entered the armed services and more will go immediately upon graduation.
