C. A. P. On March IS, I944, twenty-four Morgantown High School students completed the requirements for Civil Air Patrol Cadets. These members had completed two hours of Civil Air Patrol history, three hours of military courtesy and discipline, five hours of drill, and one month service in the group. The C. A. P. was formed mainly for boys who passed Army Air Corp tests and wanted training before they were inducted into the Air Corps. The courses that are taught are radio code, meterology, navigation, and camouflage. When he was sworn in each member was entitled to a fifteen minute ride in an army grasshopper plane CAronca L-33. New members are being trained to follow up the original group. The original members are William Hosey, Jack Cordray, Robert Eddy, Julia Chester, Dorcas Menear, James Chalmers, William Slavins, joe Collet Cdrill sergeantj, Gordon Royer, Ruby Trickett, James Woodward, Ruby Shaffer, lrma Smith, Theresa Zick, Billie Barker, Audrey Thomas, Helen Miller, jack Brothers, Virginia Fisher, Nick Batlas, and Dale Fawley.
