The Class of 1955 JOSEPH HERCHER RONALD BUTZ President Treasurer SUSANNE GUERIN Secretary As freshmen and newcomers to Moorestown High School, we got lost our share of times, had doubts and fears as to what this big new experience would be like. Soon, however, we took a big place in the activities, clubs, and sports, and felt like old hands at the business of being high school students. With all the kidding and hazing of our freshman year lust a memory, we launched into our sophomore year. Under the guidance of Mr. Clapperton, we chose our class rings-and as loyal M.H.S. fans, we proudly showed them off. Then-upperclassmen! How important we felt! Living our motto of Carpe Diem we were now active participants and even leaders in every phase of school life. Our dramatic debut, l Remember Mama, under Miss Campbell's able direction, was declared a big hit, and thoroughly enioyed by actors and audience. Our Junior Prom Isle of Dreams was an unforgettable night for all. As we entered our last and biggest year at lvl.H.S., we marvelled at how very young we still felt. lt seemed impossible that we were seniors. Then the rush of grand new events -our senior portraits, our sparkling comedy hit Cheaper By the Dozen, under the capable direction of Mr. Maddock, our last Carol Service, and those three big memorable days in Washington. At graduation we realized with appreciation the vast opportunities and unforgettable memories of our four years at Moorestown High School. 16
