1 --f-Y' f-V- vw- F What is the one thing that students graduating from high school miss most? ls it history, math, science, English, or the times they got into difficulties and had to go to the office? No, l'm sure we will all agree these aren't the things that we'll long remember. lt is the classmates we grew to know through our contacts in the classrooms, between classes, on the stairs and through the halls. lt is their friendliness, their individual personalities that will never have to be written down in a memory book because they are so vividly painted in our rninds. 'W' .S iiii' PAGE TWO Uur School The Montpelier High School was erected in l9l5. lt was a gala day when the Montpelier students were permitted to call the High School their own. With the changing years, it was necessary to make many new improvements. In the year l94O, a new and modern gymnasium was constructed. ln l948, two thousand dollars in tools was added to the shop. lt was all repainted and an office was built. The students were also glad to welcome two other buildings. They are the music hall and the agriculture room. ln l949 the Home Economics Department was remodeled. These and many other improvements add greatly to the attractiveness and usefulness of the school. It is only a normal American High School to most people but it signifies more to its students. lt is a symbol of the liberty of free education to all and stands like a torch, leading us from the pitfall of ignorance to the pinnacle of success. , .. - fv:' s. PAGE FOUR H l E Dedication As we pause for a moment to recall our past l2 years, we think over all the incidents in which we made big successes or failures. But regardless of how our trials turned out, we are very thankful to Dad, and Mom, who have been behind us, no matter what happened. We realize it now more than ever as we have come to the point in our lives where we are going to have to leave our parents and homes and try to put to practice all the wisdom we have gathered since our first grade of school. Knowing this, we become very humble and grateful to you, our Dads and Mothers, who have undoubtedly been the ones who have kept us going. Therefore, we wish to dedicate The Mirror of l95O to you, our parents.
