The Monti cindermen got off to an early start in track this year and took the lion's share of the trophies at different meets. In two earlier meets, the Cornell Relays and the I. S. T. C. Relays, the red and black brought home seven trophies, thirty-one medals, and two ribbons. New records were set in the football throw, -140 yd. dash, mile run, mile medley, and 480 yd. shuttle hurdle. Although the conference meet had not been held at this writing, from all indications, Monticello had a good chance to set more records and retain its track crown for the third straight year.
