An evenly-matched game with Independence ended in a 6-0 defeat for the Panthers as Independence was held scoreless until on a fourth-down play in the final 20 seconds they scored. Against Tipton thc Panthers failed three scoring opportunities on the 1. 2 and 5 yard lines. Tipton won 6-0. Compensation for four scoreless games in a row was the '13-0 victory over Maquo- keta.
