'. ' o Triem, the club of Monti High that promotes a broader and deeper understanding of mathematics, should be com ended for its splendid contribution to the war effort. The lontioello Chapter of the Future Farmers ot America is one of Monti High's most progressive organizations Every Vocational Agriculture student is a member of the chap ter The P P A boys provide for many co operative community service activities Some of these services include 4 purebred Duroc gilts which they own and which they raised on a share basis with 4 chapter members, selling high quality breeding stock, a seed permina tor which they recently bought with one hundred dollars of their own money and which is be ing used to furnish a valuable service for the local farmers, a rodent contest which they conducted in the fall, which destroyed hundreds of rats, mice, sparrows, and other destruc tive pests, selling high quality varieties of vegetable and flower seeds, and introducing different cron varieties and production methods Training in F F A provides the boys with opportunities for leadership A meeting is held one evening a month Parliamentary procedure training is provided for at these meetings Several noon business meetings are also held throughout the year Each member serves on one or more chapter committees At a Community Forum meeting last fall two of the members put on an Accident Prevention Demonstration One of the boys has been nomi nated for the Stats Farmer degree to be awarded in lay A chapter program of work has been mimeographed and given to each member Each member conducts a supervised farming program throughout the year This includes Productive Kmoney making projectsl, Improvement projects, and Supplementary practices Kskillsl All tours, camping trips, and other meetings have been restricted for the dura tion of the war The F F A officers for 1944 45 are as follows President, David Walker, Vice pres ident, Ronald Paulsen, Secretary, Paul Ladyhoff, Treasurer, Raymond Rieniets, Reporter, Hervey Tapkep, Advisor, A P Walker 4th 3rd 2nd lst I' O' PO' PO' POW J- Davld Walker, Ed Buol, Paul Ladyhoff, Ronald Paul sen, Bob Lubben, Ed Hemmer Dwaine P1ueger,De1bert Husman,LaVern Schoon, Loren rreese, John Hein, Don Zimmerman, lr Walker Ray Null, Harold Eby, Randall Ganfield, Duane lar tin, Harrison Nundle, Paul Steurl lartin Nissen, Marvin Himebaugh, Gerald Dirks, George Hansson, Harvey Tapken, Raymond Rieniets, Neal Paulsen INN lx DC ,Q as as ,....-at 'ii -ilqv.. i .
