BOVVY LOU v Jennie Rundle, Beverly Harms jUNlQR5 Dick Skellef has served the junior class as president during the past year, with Irma Cchoon as vice-president The junior year is always a busy one, and the members of the class of 1946 have taken an active part in many important school events One of the high points of the year was the annual magaz'ne sale which kept the entire class very busy for several weeks The clasp was divided into two teams under the direction of the general chairman, Irma Schoon Under the leadership of Claire Shannon, captain of the Red team, and Betty Lou Null, leader of the Black team, the juniors again successfully topped the sales of the previous year with a total of 81,660 worth of ma azines Many members of the class received prizes in war stamps for their sales, but Jo Ann Schneider and Carol Cas- cers, the two top salesmen, each received a S25 war bond Another high spot in the activities was the junior class play, 'You Can't Take It With You This play was under the direction of Mrs Bess Greenley, and, with the lndus- trious co-operation of the cast and crew, it was a great success. Although the cast did put in a great deal of time and effort, they received a great deal of enjoyment out of lt. Many of the junior boys have been interested in athletics, and Ken Kibumz, Dick Skel- ley, Art Bolken, and Frank Fita mmons earned major 'M's' by playing the required length of time during games. Inna Schoon, Louise York, and Gene Kuehl were elected as junior representatives to the newly organized Student Council. Irma Schoon and Louise York were chosen to serve as president and secretary-treasurer, respectively, of this All class members took part in the preparation for group. the Junior-Senior Banquet which will long be remembered as one of the outstanding events of the school yearn Jo Ann Schneider and Gene Kuehl have been active in music as vocal soloists, while many other class members have taken part in various instrumental and vocal groups. Mrs. Sim onds, Miss Gardner, and Mr. Eells have sponsored the class this Past 799V-
