The many tough, close games showed that the team's talent and skills were becoming apparent. The young team's potential will hopefully flourish next season with returning players. Many teams saw an improvement in their pro- gress and will mark this year as one which will bring high hopes for the future years. Regardless of the season's record, we must congratulate our ath- letes for the effort that they have put in preparation for the games. Competition within the Metro League has been known to be tough and although our teams have struggled a bit, we must acknowledge the fact that many of our teams were young, and still need some experience. Two teams which deserve spe- cial recognition for their accomplishments are the Soccer team and the I.V. Football team. Both teams captured the 1980-81 Metro Leagueltitles, with each one winning the title for three consecutive years in a row. Other teams which also de- serve recognition for their outstanding effort and contributions are the Var- sity Wrestling team and the Boy's Tennis team, both of which placed in the top positions of the Metro League. 90 ready for the serve.
