Class Prophecy Eureka! At last, I've got it! These were the exclamations of two young M. H. S. amateur scientists. What had they found? At last after many months of hard labor, they had completed the first successful time- traveling machine. And this is how they used it. As an experimental trip, they went twenty years into the future, and looked up all their old classmates, and returned to tell of their experiences. LOG-We arrived in the future world just a few moments ago. It is a strange feeling, this sudden transi- tion into the ultra modern world of 20 years from now or should Isay then? We met Jim Nunley first. He's a respectable bald-headed businessman. When we met him, he was just returning home to his wife, Mary Bowles. He was the owner of a large chain-store. When we inquired about the former students of M. H. S. he gave us the following account: Melvin Thompson and Phillip Ferrell are branch managers of my store, he said. Harold Stahl and Vic Wrightson went into partnership, and are piloting a river tug in New York. Henry Tolley and Ed Hall are famous engineers, and are building a bridge across the Caribbean Sea at the presenlt time. Henry Tolley is married to Eileen Petty, and they live in Florida. Samuel T, Nicastro is a side show barker in the Baker-Bickford Exposition Shows, Inc., and is well known to all the freak's. Arnold Buckley married a wealthy heiress, and lives on his wife's estate in Hawaii. Charles Hartsock and Charles Adkins are partners in a conftracting firm. Charles Hartsock is married to Mary Elizabeth Steele, and Charles Adkins is married to Helen Ingram. Dorothy Franks, Nellie Sandoro, and Mary Emma Foreman have a millinery store on Fifth Avenue, and are famous designers. Bob Miller married Lois Timmons and is coaching basketball at Duke, and Bob Smith and Alline are coaching at Temple. Lola Pollock and Margaret Roeser are physical education instructors at West Virginia University. Bobby Stowers has a famous dance band and is touring Antartic during this season. Little is a little does! James Radford has dyed his hair black and is a stand in for harbor roles, out in Hollywood. Bethel Strickland, who married a Senator's son, is trying to get Joe Skaggs into Congress. Mary Manley and Carl Tummins are doing a Song and Dance Blackface act in Jimmy Martin's Black Stork night club. Most off M. H. S.' faculty has been replaced. Dorlene Kidd, Marie Johnson, Addilee Jamison, Beulah Wriston and Mary Jeffers have replaced the old ones. Robert Wood, G. B. Ziegler, and Jim Abbot have bought 10,000 acres out in the American Desert and are raising onions and cabbage. Reno Dalporto is a famous trapeze artist and acrobat in his cous-in's circus, Lido Dalporto. Elwood Polley is the strong man in one of the side shows. Bennie Marshall is driving racing cars out on the Bonneville salt flat speedway. Helen Hall is on location out in Hollywood, and is regarded by critics as the second Mae West. Jean Oxley is head switchboard operator in the New York Central Exchange. Norma Shrewsbury is happily married to Ray Crow, who is pitching for the perennial New York Yankees. Doris Custer isa celebrated actress on the Metropolitan stage. Helen Goheen and Gapey Carson are owners of a Night Club in Chicago. Dorothy Hastings is still married happily and has a family. Roberrt Lee Miller, will my ability to indulge in the light fantistic to Ray McClellan. Luther S. Montgomery, Jr., do bestow my blond beauty to Percival Weese. Alfonso Moschino, will my flowing red mane to Tommy Self. Elo Mussetto, will my Ceasar Romero profile to Lotcha Coleman. Nina McCormick, do will my gay but quiet airs to Miss Smith. Sam Nicastro, Jr., do bestow my stooging ability to Jimmy Holmes. James Albert N unley, will and bequeath my neatness and ability for getting special reports to Joe Hol- liday. Lacy Edgar Nunn, will my speed and all around usefulness at end on the Greyhound football team to Nookie Garrett. Gene Oxley, do will my pearly white teeth to Jane Knox. Argatha Pell, do bequeath my position as the prettiest girl ir1 M. H. S. to C. B. Jessie Jay Pennington, do bestow my quiet manner upon Don Tingley. Elizabeth Perry, do will and bequeath my scholastic ability to Betty Paynrter. Eileen Petty, will my place as an all around student to Mary Jane Harrington. Earnest Elwood Polley, do hereby will and bequeath my basketball ability to Calvin Frazier. Lola Pollock, will my girlish mannerisms to Virginia Dupuy. Lawrence Ware has bought the Montgomery News, and is successfully selling it to 33 customers each week. Henry J. Tolley owns a fine gymnasium in Charleston where corpulent and wealthy businessmen come to work off excess weight. Alphonso Moschino, wine merchant, is a regular customer. Gordon Billheimer is the present heavyweight champion of the world, and has been defending his title for five years. William Bond is a brain surgeon in the famous Bond Clinic, in Albany. Charles Fadeley is an admiral in the United Americas' Navy, and has been decorated. Bob Dwyer and Haven Hemmings are jewelers and have a famous shoppe in London, Albert Falbo and Earl Forbes have taken over Australia and are ruling it with an iron hand. We expect an ultimation from them soon, since the President, Director of t.he United Americas, Clinton Stallard, has re- fused to recognize their government. By the way there are three M. H, S. classmates in the Presidents Cabinet. Robert V. Smith is Secretarv of State, Lucille Longhenry is Minister of Finance, and Lola Ann Wilkinson is Secretary of the Interior. Marjorie and Marguerite have incorporated a firm known as Evans and Evans, Interior Decorating and Designing. Martha Dent is a famous opera star, and is playing her eighth season at the Metropolitan. Helen Dawson and Margie DeLong own a sea food restaurant in Salt Lake City. Myntle Gallagher and Mary Franks are artists' models. Jay Pennington, who paints them often is famous for his landscapes. Jack Nunn and Edward Maynor are Generals in the Australian Falbo-Forbes! government. Gerald Garbett is Ambassador to the United Nazi Socialist States of Germany, Russia, and Italy. Demaia Tolli is secretary and accountant for the law firm of Bowling CPaulJ and Bowling CHerbertJ. Lorean Abbot and Kathryn Alapic are airline hostesses in the Childers-Giarrazzi Pan-Islamic-American Airlines. Charles Knight is a diamond mine owner in Southern Africa. C. C. James and Clyde Holdern are brokers on the new Wall Street. Many millions of dollars pass through OJ their hands daily. Naleene Wright is a famous author and has written several best sellers. Howard Settle, James Brannam, and Elo Musseto may be heard every night over the radio. They are ministers of propaganda. James Thompson is a radio announcer, and can be heard every night over Mayes' Krispie Krunchie Breakfast Food hour. Marie Jolmson and Nina McCormick are psychiatrists, and have an institution in the Catskill Mountains. Pauline Anderson is head nurse at John Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore, and Myrtle Ash is a surgeon there. Loretta Pomeroy is a Missionary's wife. She and her husband are in Finland. Argatha Pell is a glamour girl, plays parts in the movies. Her latest is Rockets to the Moon, and this was an extra modern thriller. Luther Montgomery owns a newspaper in New York, and sponsors several basketball teams there. Margaret Blake and Mary Burke operate a fashionable and very expensive beauty salon in San Francisco. Alma Dean and Eunice Derrick are stenographers in a New York business firm. Lucille Ellis and Emma Duncan own a fashionable hotel resort in Warm Springs, Georgia, and I guess that is all. Well, I've got to be hurrying home. Mary will be waiting for me. So long. After Jim left we came back to, or rather went back to the life of 20 years ago. We may make more journeys soon. So long.
