MHS chair- man is Rita David, Sue Edfeldt is Shelby County’s chairman, and Sally Sears is state chair- man. Honor Society Members brought cameras to school to provide yearbook copy on MHS'’s first Camera Day. The Student Council, with approval of the faculty and ad- ministration, instigated a new dress code, permitting girls to wear appropriate pantsuits to class. A show was held to demonstrate to students acceptable and unacceptable attire. Jeff Gray, Susan Edfeldt, Terri Chambers and Becky Knowles are dressed appropriately. BASKETBALL MID-STATE CHAMPS Basketball reigned at MHS in 1970-71. The Bulldogs played an 18 game season sched- ule and competed in four tournaments, winning the Mid-State Conference Championship. MHS also won third place trophies in both the Thompson Invitational and the Shelby County Tournaments. Leading the Bulldogs throughout the season was 6’3” senior forward Robert Seay. Seay was named to both the All County and All Conference teams. Directing the Bulldogs was Coach Paul Wooley, who was named “Coach of the Year’ in Shelby County.
