Class of '41 The Class of '41 is a'group that is being recognized as one of the most outstanding in the history of Monterey High. After the juniors elected their first semester officers they gave a dance that was socially, and financially, a success. Proceeds from this dance, from the canteen at football games, and from the May Circus concession rendered the ambitious juniors financially capable of presenting an unforgettable junior- Senior Prom. Officers of the Class of '41 were: presidents, Barbara Lee Rico and Alice Vidoronig vice presidents, Anne Martin and Dick Williams, secretary, jacque- line Kleing and treasurer, Orville jones. Class of ,42 The Class of '42 got off to a flying start this year with a pie sale that broke all previous dessert-sale records. After their successful pie sale, this year's Sophomores did little as far as extra-curricular activities were concerned. Scholastically, however, they did extremely well, holding top rank on the honor holl. . In April, the Sophs gave a dance that merits mention, and took over the taxi concession at the May Circus. The officers of this exceptional class were: presidents, Rosemary Baker and Eloise johnson, vice-presidents, john Kenealy and Vivian Modigh, secre- taries, Mary Len Cerney and june Pettyg treasurers, Hugh Gottfried and Andy Shepard. Class of '43 Very little can be said about the class of '45, but it may be an exceptionally active class in the future. Of course the Freshmen did have a class election- finally. It is safe to say that the principal reason for this drastic step was that the officers' names were required for this annual. They were as follows: president, Anita Criscuolog vice president, john Thackerg secretary, Marguerite Buelnag and treasurer, Philip H. Coniglio.
