Seven Student Council committees provide the func-
tional means of organizing and carrying out the various
projects and activities of the council. Chairmen of the
five committees are appointed by the executive com-
mittee, which is composed of Monterey's student body
officers. The remaining two committees are headed by
student body officers. Student Council officers and com-
mittee chairmen then select the members of their re-
spective committees.
The seven committees are Assembly, Citizenship, Cour-
tesy and Cafeteria, Publicity, Recreation, Scrapbook and
Traffic Safety.
Parliamentarian and Chaplain are elected by the vot-
ing members of Student Council.
