Here Debbiemgerkey shows her devotion to the team by attending practice even though sick. Bottom: The 86-87 girls swimming team. This year the swim team has had its best season yet. They beat Lincoln and South. The team has six members: jgheresa Sur- Qap-Land Debbie Berkey are this years 'captains, Regina Chnstopher, Gigi Ray- mond, Alacia Snow, and Heather Frishce. All members exceeded their goals and more. ln city Theresa took second in backstroke and qualified for the city A meet. She also took third place in the hundred yard free- style. Debbie placed first in both the fifty and hundred yard freestyle, missing the qualifi- cation for city A by less than one second. Regina, Heather, Gigi, and Alacia are new swimmers this year, and they look forward to another year with many more new swim- mers. Their coach Carl Selles Has devoted much time and effort to the team. The swimmers are ready to go. 69
