Sinking back in murky twilight into scratching dust covered grass listen to the distant lawn-mower drone and the last call of the bird before settling in feather fluffed sleep Alone in the tall grass I gloat that no one can find me. Watching spiders and ants crawl in and out of dead matted jungles smelling earth odors and barbeque smoke choosing to ignore the sound of my name as someone screams it across the yard. Oh damn.
