Business Manager; Chip Roberts, Sports Editor; (Bottom) Mary Duggleby, Copy Editor; Sue Rath-bone, News Editor. This year for the first time in its history the student newspaper, the Exponent, switched entirely to use of a computerized method of printing. Taking advantage of a contract offered by an area printing company with facilities for the offset method of printing, the paper was able to take different approaches in layout and was able to make clearer typographical and photographical reproductions. The biggest problem this year, according to Editor Diane Travis, was finding replacements for staff members who graduated last year. She said, however, that there were a lot of interesting, new staff members this year. In addition, a new staff position — that of News Editor — was created. The News Editor's functions included those of dealing with reporters to see that assignments were in on time and of coordinating the news reporter staff. 26
