Cotncr has proved himself a thorough student of his subject ond a successful administrator of the Division of Science which forms a part of every curriculum. Closest to students in pre-med and bacteriology. Dr. Cotner is olways willing to counsel any needy student. Dean Katherine Roy come to MS.C. this year from Kansas State College to head the Division of Household and Industrial Arts. Already Dr. Roy is known for her administrative ability ond friendly personality. Dean Clyde McKee heads the Division of Agriculture. He supervises the research of the Montano Agricultural Experiment station os well as administering his deportment. Dean E W. Schilling is the genial head of the Engineering Division. Popular with students and faculty alike. Dr. Schilling takes time out from his busy schedule to meet frequent demands for chaperoning. H. G. KLEMME Dean of Men Dr. Klemme is known over the state for his inspirotionol addresses . . . has difficult task of lodging the increasing number of men students . . . experience as a Presbyterian minister has given him bread background for counseling students. ETHELYN C. HARRISON Dean of Women An understanding heort and a pleasing personality characterize our Dean of Women, Mrs. Harrison. She always remains gracious ond colm, ready to give advice, even when performing the extra duties which the enrollment increase ond housing shortage for women hove mode necessary. 17

R. R, Renne President of Montana State College PRESIDENT R. R. RENNE is particularly close to the problems of the students, taking an octive interest in all phases of the college. At home with their children, he and Mrs. Renne enjoy gardening in the summer, and are ski enthusiasts in the winter. Dr. Roland R. Renne became the sixth and youngest president of Montana State college July 1, 1944, and wos formolly inaugurated in April, 1945 when Governor Ford performed the induction ceremony. Dr. Renne has been concerned with the development of the college from the time he come here os assistant professor of economics and sociology and agricultural economics less than nine years ago.
