BASKE T TOSSERS Monrovia's rangy Bee quintet nearly took the championship of the league this last year. They were defeated in the final and deciding game with the Champion Whittierites by one basket. The team was judged as one of the finest in the league, having a good first and second string. Walt Anderson, flashy Sophie center, was one of the best all-around players, while Bob Tolle, forward, was' the high point man of the team. Ed Dunn, Charlie Reed, Earl Bauer, jerry Moore, and Sonny Parris also played sterling ball. E291 Q
