SENIOR CLASS HISTORY H ur banner will forever say Excelsio ' In the year of 1958, our Freshmen Cla s entered Nonongah High School with hilarity and mischief ringing in their ears, nd ready to be displayed nt first we were timid and quiet, but after lt was brought out of us by the initiation the Seniors forced upon u , we g ve few p rties, one in particul r was hillbllly p rty We also Joined several clubs When we care bac tae f ll as Sophomores, we were stlll vilorous and x tlng to get ahead Some were lazy but stlll they get b cl tw par gain Famillar h unts of our previous year w re stlll t ere, but in our Freshman Year we were gust UKld and ro: ve vere loolira for new interests Soxe students Just thoaflt of it as the sa1e old grind over and over but tue soon ot lntere ted By way of the loud speaker, soze of our talented emoers :ave a play, uThe event of the year, piled 1nto a truck and were off for Re ervlor Parl for a wclner roast Well, well, to thlnk tnat we were so proud as Freshies and Sophonores Wlat are we nox, Junlors' Our Junior Class was not a large one but was still full of ee and vitalitda We were getting used to seeing the sa1e faces again and again and lade many stuanch new f lends WFO1 we were eager to see again We Juniors presented for oar annual play, nAunt Tillie Goes to Town A three act farce, ticl kept the audience laughing and shouting throughout the performance To advertise our plad, we Junlors were all to d ess, by our own lmaglnation, as Aunt Tillie What glorious Aunt Tillies we were' A great da for all' The Juniors sponsored the Junlor and Senlor Banquet, carrying out the patriotic notive Our gyn took on tro aopearance of a ship, decked out 1n rod, whltc, and blue decorations, 3hlUS, hats, and flags ire Junior Class sponsored the annual basketball tournament and to our great surprlse we ca1e out victorious, botr boys and girls We have finally attained our coveted goal Seniors at last' We were easured fo our P1DgS and lad our ohotograehs taken A rlot us ard crazy bunch of Senlors set out for tkeir Senior trlb to Lenaywood Park and al though tired and forclng back 1any we ories we were haupy Ne engoyed and apwrecl ted i1.ensely the Junlor and Senlor Banquet which the Juniors gave for us. 1 n O , r .
