Born of thought and prayer, it has gradually grown in power until to-day it stands second to none among western institutions. The careful management of trustees and senate have done much toward building up the College. The professors and instructors have nobly performed their duty. The faithful work of Dr. Wallace stands to-day a monument, grander by far than any of marble or granite. He is sleeping in the City of the Dead. The work which he began was taken up bj r Dr. J. B.
