i N Moline owes its existence to the Mississippi River. Attracted by the river's vast water power and transportation potential, large manufacturing concerns came to IVIoline. Riverboats such as the VIRGINIA and the CHARLOTTE BOCCKELER visited lVIoline's shores as often as barges do today. Reminiscent of the great riverboat days, the DELTA QUEEN passes through the Quint-Cities several times a year. Nlore fre- quently seen onthe river in this area than the X ,X DELTA QUEEN are locally owned speedboats. Organizations Editors Nancy McNight, Sandy Warren and Marsha Falline are busy with their section. 8. Mr. Dave Coopman, advisor, sorts through some of the yearbook layouts. 9. Mary Ellen Gober 84 Becca Bagatelus sort pictures for their Girls Athletics Section. 10. Stretching out are Boys Athletics Editors Randy Taylor and Janet Brown. 11. Lori Graf- ton, Lisa Adam, and Lisa Atkins are this year's senior section editors. 12. Photographers for the 'M' are To'dd Rosenthal and Tim Schmidt. 13. Fine Arts Editors are Bev Sneed, Colleen Johnson, and Lisa Barber. Working on the 1977 yearbook was an extraordinary ex- perience, and one that l will never forget! Despite the snow blizzards, 24 hr. work nights, and temporary states of delirium, the deadlines were somehow always met. This obviously was due to the hard work, time, and energy of many people. Beth Dondanville, Co-Editor Being an 'M' editor has been a memorable experience for me. How can I forget the joy of staying up all night, the delight of eating snow ice cream, or the acquisition of the enviable skill of proofreading, re-proofreading, re-re- proofreading, re-re-re. . .
