AlThough unable To aTTend The new high school, They enjoyed The added disTincTion of being The lasT class To graduaTe Trom The old building. The seniors soon Tound Themselves caughT up in a busy whirl oT exTra-curricular acTiviTies, exciTing sporTs evenTs. good Times, and, oT course, grueling homework assign- menTs. The homecoming TesTiviTies, alThough dampened by The Asian Tlu epidemic, were Thrilling Tor all. The Na- Tional Honor SocieTy emerged inTo an acTive organizaTion This year. ATTer Their elecTion, The Tour oTTicers planned College Day, a ceremony Tor The insTallaTion oT members, and a banqueT, which was held in The spring. Many hours oT hard work were spenT in making The Glass Menagerie , The senior play. a rousing success. On ThaT brighT, sunny day, friends Trom MHS Turned ouT as Kennelh Ferry, who died in an auTo accidenT on April 2, I957, leTT Tor somewhere as glorious as The sun-as magniTicenT as friendship. Quiet yeT known by mosT aT MHS, he will always be remembered. Kenny, who knew The greaT ouT- doors, loved more Than anyfhing To be in iT. Serv- ing Ged was a parT of Kenny, Tor he enTered inTo The work oT his church as a member of The youTh fellowship and choir. His concern for oThers showed in his greaf love Tor his Tamily.
