They have so unselfishly given their time and energy to the growth, beauty, and well- being of our campus and hold a cherished place in our memories. To Mr. Wayne McCulloch who has given us so much time, labor and kindly assistance, and to another, Mr. Max Williams, who also gave so much of himself in earnest labor, we dedicate this book. BIETZ Principal Students pass through these doors but once. Each day's experiences be- come history and leave opportunity only for joy or regret. During this time of character development, each habit formed and each lessonlearned should be an element of Christ-like growth to them. No effort or sacrifice on the part of parents, teachers, and students to improve and enrich every phase of student development in this pre-dawn hour can be considered supreme. we This group of distinguished individuals represents the Christian Backbone of our school. Without them our school could not function and we believe that there are no finer and better qualified persons anywhere. They have sacrificed both time and ex- pense to guide us through the rough spots in our daily experience. Progress is their motto and we have only to look about us to see the evidence. As students, we hope that we can fulfill our great obligation to them by becoming the Christian witnesses needed to finish the Work, and hasten the coming of -our Lord. lf? fi. - Q . The religious phase of education is the foun- dation of life at Modesto Unioxif-Xcadeiiiy. During the Fall and again in the Spring the Academy plays host for a formal Week of Prayer, this year conducted by the evangelist Elder Stanley Harris, in the Fall, and Elder Sorrenson of the P.U. C. Bible Department, in the Spring. A Smdent Week of Devotion was held in both November and April with the students themselves officiating. On occasions, we are honored by the presence of noted groups such as the "Faith For Today" Group. The goal that all strive for is acomplete blend- ing of Physical, Mentaland Spiritual excellence, so that students coming from Modesto Union Academy will be the fit representatives of true Christian men and women that this world so despertly cries for. f gg, ye X Pastor W.
