Olson Principal E.-scficzafiolz As a principal he has shown an unusual interest in the welfare and operation of our school. He has shown much patience, integrity, and encouragement for he has helped us in encountering and con- quering many problems and difficulties. As a personal friend Mr. Olson has always been pleasant and honest in dealing with the students at M.U.A. Because of this the students feel a great debt of gratitude for the patient forbearance under impatient circumstances and for untiring perseverance in seeing many things through. For all of this, Mr. Olson, we thank you. lllli degli l t , - 4,fk A ' l 2 ll il f . .U Elder A. J. Olson Principal Y f I glzcnccpafa .sua 5 In a time of confusion and fear because of the always present danger today that the world may at any time be plunged into a frightful atomic war, one can better appreciate the security and peace of mind that results from a true Christian educational philosophy of life. Here the student develops strength of character and peace of mind as he sees the hand of God in history and contemplates God's great promises such as "in quietness and confidence is your strength." The school year l953-54 has meant progress as we have tried to reach the ideals and obiectives of Christian education. The student effort this year, the greater respect and reverence shown for the better things of life, as well as other accomplishments, indicate that scholastically, physically and spiritually the school's offerings have helped to influence and mold the lives of students. Progress has also been made during the year in bringing the whole school plant closer to completion. We congratulate the seniors on the successful completion of their work here. the whole student body. We invite the seniors to e bac o en s they can and students both new and old a a It , the comn yea ake Modesto Union Academy a still better choa. Of course, we think P.U.C. has a beautiful campus, but that is only the beginning. The college you select should have solidity of scholar- ship that is recognized anywhere in the world. That means accreditation. It should have a breadth of course offerings that will give you the specialized Training you need for success in the face of keen competition in your chosen vocation. That means a first-class faculty. lt should offer you a firm foundation of character for the decisions life will demand of you. That means the finest Christian college you can find. These are high standards. Measure Pacific Union College against them.
