Q I s Il Q' : ' w-+ l'. lil. lPYi'l'l1iH.ll Administration Essentially, a year book is a thing of sentiment, the modern counterpart of the plush-covered album of the gay nineties. Aside from its purely sentimental value, however, an annual has Worth only in so far as it truly represents the school which publishes it. I believe this book to be a good representation of Modesto High School and a true expression of stu- dent co-operation and student effort. It is attractive in form and adequate in expression. It has been guided, but not dictated, by faculty supervision. It seems to me, activity. AGRICULTURE Mr. li. ll. Ile-nliiprh, ll. S. Mr. Reuben Sylva, li. S. Mr. J. ldverf-tt XX':tlkt-r, H. S. Administration Modesto High School is an eilicient school. In all extra-curricular activities, its achievements are com- mendable. This issue of the SYCAMORE reveals origiA nality in its presentation of the life, enthusiasm, and ideals of Modesto High. Modesto High is a friendly school. Faculty and students have built up a fine spirit of teamwork. Together they have created an informal, but orderly, social spirit. Modesto High is a forward- Grace M. Davis looking school. Teachers use progressive methods of procedure. Many activities are sponsored by the Associated Students. Plans are being evolved whereby more stu- dents can participate in school affairs. As Dean, I rejoice in the opportunity of work- ing in this efficient, friendly, and forward-looking school. LANGUAGE Mrs. Beatrice M. Carey. A. B., M. A. Miss Marguerite Johnson, A. B.
