} RANDOLPH COUNTY TOURNAMENT Moberlv won the Randolph County Tournament! It was the first time in the history of M. J. H. S. that they had received first place. The trophy was presented to Kenneth Kellogg and Robert Bishop. They presented it to the school at an assembly on November 26. The auditorium was packed all four nights of the tournament. The Dragonettes had a booth and sold peanuts, candy, pop, ice cream, and hot dogs. The first game Moberly won over Huntsville 26 to 22. The second night Moberly defeated Hig- bee 31 to 24. On the final evening Moberly played Clifton Hill for the championship and won an easy victory 38-26. Moberly fans nearly took the gym apart after that. We ' re all proud of the Dragons. 31

VICTORIES and DEFEATS Cairo vt Moberly, November I I Moberly Dragons soundly trounced the Cairo High quintet by 39 points. The final score was48 -24 with Robert Bishop as top-scorer with 20 points. Thomas Hid vt Moberly, November 25 Moberly squeaked out a narrow 20 to 17 win over Thomas Hill. Bishop was high point man with 9 points. Higbee vt Moberly, December 9 Moberly lost their first game to the Higbee High Tigers 27-11. Higbee led all the way and had command of the entire game. Ronald Winkler led the Moberly scoring with S points. Renick v$ Moberly, December 1 2 The Moberly Dragoas won their sixth victory at the expense of the Renick Ramblers 29- 21. Bishop led the Moberly scoring with 12 points. Tbomat Hill vt Moberly, December 1 6 Moberly ' s seventh win of the season was registered at the expense of Thomas Hill. Bish- op was high point man with 16 points. The final score was 34 to 18. Cairo vt Moberly, January 9 Moberly Dragons soundly trounced the Cairo High quintet by 39 points. The final score was 63-24 with Robert Bishop as top-scorer with 22 points. Higbee vt Moberly, January 16 The Moberly Dragons won their ninth game in eleven starts from Higbee 31-30. Bishop led the Dragon offensive with fourteen points. Madison vs Moberly, January 27 Moberly added another decision to their string of victories by stopping Madison 52-27. Bishop was the big gun, connecting with 18 points. Renick vt Moberly, February 3 Moberly defeated the Renick Ramblers 52 to 24. Short and Bishop were high-point men with 14 and 15 points respectively. Clifton Hill vt Moberly, February 6 Clifton Hill, second in the Randolph County Tournament, handed Moberly its second set- back of the season, 26-24. Bishop led the Moberly scoring with 10 points. Huntsville Tournament Moberly entered the Huntsville Tournament. January 1, 2, 3. and 4. The first game we defeated Armstrong with a 26-24 victory. The second game Moberly beat Higbee with a score of 32-22. Moberly met Huntsville in the third game to play for the championship. Huntsville won the championship with a score of 33-23. Moberly got second place. At the time of publication of this book these games remained unplayed : Huck Finn Tourn- ament and the Keytesville Tournament! 33
