MITSCHER NEWS CREW What do SIX IC Men an ET2 and a STG2 have in common? Well, if you guessed the MITSCHER News then you are right. These 8 people joined to- gether to tape, edit, mix, produce and air the MITSCHER NEWS. Any one of these guys would run around the ship and catch the crew doing whatever they do. That could be from sleeping to eating to working. Working? Yeah working, we even caught some people working. Once enough footage was shot, it was time to edit, dub and mix the video to music. One of the IC Men would edit the video tape so that it was appropriate for the entire crew to view. Then it was time for the show. ET2 and STG2 would set up behind a table in front of the MITSCHER flag. The camera was focused on them and they would report the news from around the world, shipboard news and the latest sporting scores. The feed was live throughout the ship. Behind the scenes, the cameraman would focus on both men and then on each one individually when required. When the anchor-men got to a location for showing a pre-recorded video clip the IC Men would take over by pushing switches and patching cables. The video is played for the crew and it ' s back to the anchors. ..and it starts all over again until they sign off. 94
