Nav Admin Department i av Admin Department includes •i- the Admin Office, which keeps all of MITSCHER ' s paper work in order. Anything from making new ID cards to transferring personnel is performed flaw- lesslv b ' the Yeoman and Personnelman. Navigation is handled by five highly trained Quartermasters. They maintain all of MITSCHER ' s charts and naviga- tional publications. Whether navigating using the Global Positioning Satellite System, or the old fashioned way using the sun and stars, the crew can sleep soundly at night knowing the QM ' s are always Keeping MITSCHER safe. The Chief Master-at-Arms, or Sheriff as he ' s known onboard, keeps order and discipline amongst the crew. The Navy Counselor keeps us up to date on career information, helps crew mem- bers apply for different programs, and runs the crew ' s library. The Hospital Corpsmen look out for the crew ' s physical well being. Whether they are giving shots, prescribing medi- cine or stitching up an unfortunate crew member, they keep the crew going even in the worst of times. The 3-M coordinator is also part of Nav Admin. They feed the crew, keep the shel- ves stocked with parts so the crew can maintain their equipment, cut their hair, wash their clothes, pay them, and even sell them goodies from the store. The Supply Department is the Super Store that serves and supports the ship and it ' s crew. MITSCHER ' s Supply Department was recently graded ancl received the coveted Blue E for excellence. The department is separated into 5 divisions: General Stores (S-1), Food Services (S-2), Retail Services (S-3), Disbursing (S-4), and War- droom (S-5). 24
