KS-.-04 X X 15 3 5 EMCS W. Hobbs EMl Dalton IC2 Long 7,4 Albeit, E Divisions is one of the smallest divisions on board MITSCHER. But while it may be lacking in size, it certainly is not lacking in importance. Spearheaded by EMCS Hobbs, E Division employs two ratings, the Electricians Mates and the Interior Communications Electricians. The EM's, led by EMI john Dalton, generate and distribute 60 Hz. and D.C. power to selected spaces. The EM's also main- tain all lighting and power circuits and all electricallrauxiliary systems throughout the ship. The Interior Communications Electricians, formerly headed by IC2 Gary Hickerson and presently by IC2 Joseph Long, operate and maintain the gyro compass, the dial and sound telephone systems, all alarm 'systems and the ship's entertainment system. just as the jobs performed by the men of E Division are well diversified, so are the men themselves. They range from intel- lectuals to animals, from freaks to red-necks, from short timers to career men, from Yankees to Rebels, from jonathan Livingston Seagull lovers to -Jonathan Livingston Seagull haters, from pale faces to redskins, from city slickers to country bumpkins, from the quiet to the boisterous. But all said and done, a finer group of men is nowhere to be had. While undermanned and at times overworked, the men of E Division have consistently come through with a job well done. ,Q EXW, liM2 Gustafson EM2 A- EVOY3
