Gibbins, having won the respect and admiration of all for his outstanding work in the educational system, has become a prominent figure in St. Joseph, Missouri. He has been Dean of Iunior College since 1957, when he left his former position as Principal of Central High School. His durable patience, his complete understanding and his wonderful sense of humor are the traits which bring to mind Dean Gibbins. All this, plus his active interest and devoted service has left an im- pression that will never be erased on the hearts of all Iunior College students. Dean Marion E. It is traditional to have two women on the board. Each member is elected for a period of six years and serves without pay. A The Board of Education is a policy making board which deals only with large problems. The six stand- ing committees of the board are: Finance and Audit- ing, Custodians and Maintenance, Purchasing and Supplies, Elementary Teachers, High School Teach- ers, and Sanitation and Health, Rules and Regula- tions, and Boundaries. Members of the Board of Education are: Mr. G. L. Blackwell, Mr. E. F. Garvey, Mr. F. W. Enright, Mr. R. V. Blomlield, Mr. R. Schranck, Mr. D. W. Hopkins, Mr. D. L.
