The College was moved To The presenT campus where in I9l4 The TirsT Tour bachelor degrees were conTerred. Five years laTer The school name was changed To SouThwesT Missouri STaTe Teachers College. ln July, I946, The insTiTuTion received The name iT now bears. SouThwesT Missouri STaTe College. FirsT building on The campus was The presenT AdminisTraTion Building. Since iTs compleTion The cornersTones have been laid Tor seven addiTional sTrucTures. Progress and expansion aT SMS have been parallel wiTh The growTh oT The sur- rounding communiTy. Dean Willard J. Graff I-ldmillistrative Haan ' Friendly greeTings and a pleasanT smile always awaiT sTudenTs when They meeT Willard J. C'raTT. adminisTraTive dean of The college.
