ICI1' ln the school year just gone by, the heap of white stone on the northwest corner of the campus became S. T. C.'s new Health and Recreation building. lt is fitting, then, that the l94O OzarkO should be ded to this building and to the ideals it symbol A. W. Briggs, patriach of S. T. C. athletics, the the realization of years of planning. To all ege the field house embodies years of patient and many dreams for-the future. S. T. C., ever growing and expanding, has long .. . a center for its flourishing athletics, its energetic cal education classes, and its social and recreatio lt has needed, since townspeople have become re tl ever aware of the Bears' vital part in M. l. A. . co e a place to share with them the excitement en ment of a good basketball game. Now that need is soon to be gratified, and its fulfill- ment will bring to all students a pardonable pride in being a part of a school that has taken one more stride in the direction of progress. Next year, when the huge gymnasium resounds to the shouts and cheers of enthus- iastic crowds., the realization of a long-cherished dream and satisfaction of a long-felt need will be complete.
