The service which the members of this Board render is to be commended by all. LLOYD KING State Supqriuiendent of Schools It is a pleasure, through the agency of the Ozarko, to extend greetings from the State Department of Education to the student body, faculty, alumni, and friends of the Southwest Missouri State Teachers College. ' In these days of stress itis brought to our attention more clearly than ever that the future of our country depends upon how effectively do our educational institutions function. We need to restudy our philosophy of education, to reaffirm our belief in public education, and to rededicate ourselves to the service of education for, after all, in the peculiar type of government that We have, we are unable to carry on unless the rank and file of our citizenry are equipped to make effective choices. -LLOYD W. KING C125
