While most of the world celebrated Christmas with their lebrated Christmas at sea. The ship held a Steel Beach picnic the day before Christ- mas. On Christmas Day, the ship held atalent contest on the fantail. Santa appeared onboard several times to pass out candy canes, some of which contained a good boy ribbon. With a good boy ribbon, gifts could be collected by every good boy at the Command Master Chiefs office. As Christmas Day turned into night, Missourfs choir led the crew in singing Christmas carols.
