The Electrical Division consists of four electric shops: lighting shop, power re- wind shop, distribution shop, and the elec- trical safety shop. These shops provide power to the vast amounts of electrical electronic equipment aboard ship. The di- vision can also support other fleet units with motor rewinding and balancing and with installation and maintenance of elec- trical equipment. Also in E Division are the Interior Com- munications Electricians, comprising the forward and after IC rooms. The IC-men install and perform maintenance on all telephone systems, indicating systems, navigation gyros and sound powered tele- phone systems. The EMs and ICs performed their du- ties during the last deployment with a pre- cision and excellence matched by few. The ship ' s electrical electronic equipment was up at every moment of the deployment.
