A squad cheerleaders were Janie Rhein, Cheryl ENIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 1, 1964, Mishicot High School wel- comed ninety-six freshmen who were entering the most important phase of their education. Our Freshmen class was guided by: Steve Dvorak- President, Diane Tess-Vice President, Mary Ann Staral- Secretary, and Harvey Kimmes-Treasurer. Represent- ing our class on Student Council were: Jane Rhein, Deanna Schneider, and James Lukes. Mr. Anderson and Mr, Colbern were our advisors. Janie Rhein was chosen as a team cheerlead- ef. Our homecoming float, We'll Feed the Bluejays Defeat won second place in float competition. With these fond memories, we left behind our freshmen year and began our sophomore year. Our second year saw us with Diane Tess-Vice President, and Kathy Maly-Treasurer. were Janet West, Bob Zik, Harvey Kimmes-President, Mariann Cookle-Secretary, Student Council members and Jane Rhein. Cheryl Katzka and Janie Rhein were chosen B team cheerleaders. Our Miss Brooks , the All-School Play saw Steve Dvorak, Eileen Wilfert, Rita Podrabsky, Mary Ann Staral, and Deanna Schneider as participants. Eileen Wilfert was selected as a member of Radio Club. Our Homecoming float, It's Time to Wrap Up Victory , took a third. As Juniors, with Mr. Anderson and Mr. Kelley as advisors, we returned to M.H.S. Class officers were: Dennis Yanda-President, Diane Tess-Vice President: Mariann Cookle-Secretary: and Steve Dvorak-Treasurer. Student Council members were Janet West, Janie Haese and Harvey Kimmes. 1 ln The Misty Moonlight was the theme of our Junior Prom, held at Fox Hills for the first time in history. Music was provided by Joe Buffano. King Ron Wachtel, and Queen Cheryl Katzka reigned over the event. Members of the court were, Harvey Kim- mes and Janie Haese: Janie Rhein and Jack Herrmann, June Sprang and Bill Halada: Pete Holmes and Patty Lambert, and Gary Reinke and Diane Tess. One of the highlights of our Junior year was our basketball team. They won the regional title, then went on to defeat Brillion in the Sub-Sectional. From there they advanced to the Sectional Tournament at Green Bay. In the first night of play they lost to Green Bay West Wildcats in a closely fought battle. This destroyed all hope of going to state. Leading juniors on the squad were: Pete Holmes, Gary Reinke, Ron Wachtel, Mike Weber, Jim Zeman, and Alan Schultz. Katzka, and Shirley Hodek. Eileen Wilfert was named Co-Ed Correspondent for M.H.S. Shirley Hodek was chosen Badger Girl and Steve Dvorak and Raphael Meier were Badger Boys. Rita Podrabsky was winner of the Voice of Demo- cracy contest. Jim Lukes and Deanna Schneider were band clinic representatives. Mary Moore and Mariann Cookle were chosen as co-editors of the school paper, The Oriole. As seniors we chose: Harvey Kimmes-President, Diane Tess-Vice President, Mariann Cookle-Secretary, and Shirley Rezba-Treasurer. Mr. Stangel and Mrs. Scheuer were our new advisors. We were represented on the Student Council by Cheryl Katzka, Jackie Bruck- shen, and June Sprang. ln the fall of 1967, the football team took second place in the conference. The seniors on the team were: Steve Dvorak, Raphael Meier, Jim Holschbach, Ron Wachtel, Pete Holmes, Gary Reinke, Al Schultz, Dick Oswald, Bill Halada, Jim Retzlaff, Mike Finnel, Dan Zipperer, and Jim Lukes. On October 19 homecoming was held. The theme was Harvest Ball. Our homecoming float placed first. Homecoming royalty consisted of King Jack Herr- man and Queen Janie Rhein. The court consisted of Pete Holmes, Patty Lambert, Dick Oswald, Ron Wach- tel, Gary Reinke, Alan Schultz, and Rita Podrabsky. Eileen Wilfert was chosen as the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow. Janet West and Shirley Hodek began work as co- editors of the Arrow. Chosen as A team cheerleaders were Shirley Hodek, Janie Rhein, and Cheryl Katzka. Shirley Hodek was named D.A.R. winner, and Steve Dvorak was named Outstanding Senior Citizen.
