J IOY Z' At first I had no conceptlon of what this picturesque scene mlght be I medltated for a moment and suddenly an Idea sprang mto my mlnd Mrght lt b the three Fates who spun the thread of human life wlth all nts Joys and sorrows3 Surely lt must be they because I have heard people say that they dad their work ln the same kmd of place as this As I approached them I found my supposition to be true enough they were about to spln the vocation of each m mber of the senlor class Nothmg could have mterested me more as I always had a keen desire to know what path my classmates would choose after they had once left their Alma Mater As I stood there Clotho the flrst slster pulled f om her group of threads a bright yellow color wlth which she was going to begm weavlng the mat As she dd so a scene ln the hrgh courts appeared to me where was seated th honorable Judge Reich He was presldmg over a case agalnst a man who was convicted of treason Mr Reich s Just and logical decisions had gamed a wonderful publlclty for him Clotho handed the thread to Lachesls who twrsted rt and took another thread In this picture I saw Arthur Benzlnger He had recently graduated from the college of Agrlculture at Madison and had just purchased a farm north of Mlshlcot Arthur had agreed to furnish Mlshlcot wlth his hugh grade dairy products Needless to say a pros perous future hes before hlm My vlews were then taken to a scene on Mlchlgan Avenue ln New York Cnty Much to my surprise I found Wllllam Puta selling has Ford agency and garage He thought lt would be a matter of only a few years before the automobile business would be dull Hrs ambition was to work up an agency for aeroplanes The next thread was a bright green and as Clotho began to weave It among the rest I saw Irvln Voelker ln his Library concentratmg over the work he had before hlm It wlll not be long before the students of our Hugh School will be studyxng Physlcs from Irvln Voelkers new text which will soon be publlshed No doubt the Mlshlcot Hugh School will order a carload The scene wamshed but It was soon replaced by another one of my classmates I saw Anna Novachek the gurl of many loves Qhe had found out the Hckleness of the masculme heart and was entermg a convent to drown her woes ln penance and prayer Carol Scheuer had also become imbued wlth the pious spmt and was about to depart for the darkest wllds of Africa to convert the heathens Of course she was well supplied wlth powder puffs and freckle lotlons because she le1rned rn commercial geography that the climate there had a tendency to brmg out freckles Lachesls was again given the thread to twlst and as Clotho took another thread blue ln color I saw the Image of Carl Wojta He was spending hrs lrfe ln a state of single wretchedness because of his fate Mr Wojta was engaged to marry a certam gurl of the class of 25 but the eve before their marriage she eloped wlth another man His misfortune had changed his appearance so much that I barely recognized hlm Another thread was taken I was attracted by a beauty parlor wrth Caroline Iam: Nm teen .
