On their annual Chicago field trip the seniors in economics had the thrill of holding a million dollars in their hands. The seniors were the students who clapped the loudest and longest at assemblies to shorten second HOUV, who hoped fervently In vocational wood shop Bill Davis sands for a college scholarship and who paraded proudly B 'ammted bow' on 6 Wood lathe while Bruce Bowerman Obseryes and criticizes in their caps and gowns on the day of final exams. Ciuys and gals in the band and orchestra showed the public their talents at four concerts besides the Spring Festival which combined the band. orchestra and choral groups, At Christmas time students presented the annual Christmas Vespers for fellow classmates and the public, Young actors shook off the effect of dramatic fever shaky knees and sudden loss of memory-to stage three plays during the year. Although the actors worked long and late, committees did their share by tramping all over town, borrowing costumes. painstakingly applying makeup and trying to sell a ticket to everyone they saw. RUSHING FROM CLASSES Jana, wmk rm, Students spent many hours practicing for three plays and seven concerts they presented to townspeople. Blackfriar talent scouts and Blackfriar talent presented the Poetry Parade for underclassmen, Another treat for them was a program in which the band played selections from their concert. Thanks awfullyw was the much quoted punch line of a play given for an Assembly by the dramatic class.
