The newspaper has kept Miramonte posted on the latest gossip, sports highlights, and activities of the schoolg plus providing an opportunity for students to contribute original short stories and poems. The busy humming of the typewriters and the . . . ad- vice of Mr. Teutschel kept them constantly reminded ofthe inevitable deadlines. Work- ing on the iournalism staff has been an ex- perience that will long be remembered.

r we .sf 'R SUSUC I The Ski Club is the most fun club at Miramonte. They took three trips up to the snow this year for weekends full of fun, excitement, and broken bones. The first trip was to Heavenly Val- ley, the second to Dodge Ridge and the third trip went to the Sugar Bowl. These outings have served to build friends and memories never to be forgotten. ri..

To live up to their expectations meant a lot of extra work after school. Despite the worry of re- sponsibility laden upon us, we on the statt have made lasting friendships. We'll always remember the hectic periods before dead lines, which we usually failed to meet. Since this is our first year book to in- clude a Senior Class, we hope the 1959 Mirada has lived up to the qualification that will make our Seniors proud.
