1 Football The football team had it's most successful season in quite a few years The Panthers, finished the season in second place in the league. They won seven games and lost one, clirnaxing the season with a 76:-7, win over Eagle. The team shows promise of winning the League Championship next year and competing in the State play:-offs. We wish them luck. The letterrnen were: Merrill Sinclair, Kenneth Matheson, Ralph Meyers, Jim Lucerne, Hank Lovato, Donald Sullivan, Bob Trump, Joe Lovato, Jimmy LaNite, Feles Montoya and Harry Gartside. 1 Basketball The Minturn Panthers, had their most successful season in several years. They won the Eagle County Tournament and they also won the Upper Divislon of the Colorado Valley Class C League. Carbondale won the Lower Division and defeated the Panthers for the League Championship. The Panthers entered the District Tournament but were defeated in the semi-finals. Their record for the season was 15 wins, and 5 losses.
