unior Representatives Adrnire Strength The person I most ad- mire is Bobby Clarke, who plays hockey for Philadelphia Flyers. He came out of the Western, Hockey League. He has been an underdog all his life until they won the Stanley Cup '76-'77. He has played with diabetes all his life. The best thing about him is that he is easygoing with teammates and other players. Right now he is an assistant coach and playing at the same time. . Jamie Rose I admire all of those people who never give up. The ones that have enough courage to go after what they want and won't quit just because they have a few hard times. The people that keep a good attitude and don't let others discourage them along the way. These kinds of people help others to see that you must keep trying to reach your goals. Lynda Melius I really admire good teachers who can make a class interesting and fun. They should be able to hold the atten- tion of their class without boring the students. The students should have a feeling of having learned something. Good teachers should be fair with their grading system. Teachers should be your friends. Renae Newman The people I most ad- mire are those people that are well controlled. They are the ones who try to keep the anger under con- trol at all times. These are also the people that can handle pressure of a hard paced job. The people like this are always trying to help people through the little problems of the day. These are the people l most admire. Mark McKechie

Vocational Representatives Praise C sri Through vocational classes I have been able to explore several career possibilities. I feel I will always be able to use the knowledge I gained through these classes whether at college or otherwise. Also voca- tional classes have helped me gain more confidence in myself. Paulette Larson lp I feel that Occupa- tional Health has helped me to decide about a career in health. As State secretary and the treasurer in my voca- tional class of VICA at- tended the national convention in Colum- bus, Nebraska which gave me the opportuni- ty todiscover what VICA is all about. It was an experience that I will never forget, and an honor that I am glad to have received. Willette Moe I feel vocational classes give exposure to what their occupa- tions are really like. Vocational classes also give students con- fidence in their work. Dave Boe ri an x. hw I feel the Vocational Education classes I have taken at Minot High School have given me an excellent background in prepar- ing for the future. The classes have given me a lot of experience I could not get in my regular class. Leon Scherr

Sophomore Representatives Tell I-low to Succeed Paul Berg feels that succeeding in life is like a wheelg you never know how far it will go unless you push it. Kim Chrest says this: I think the ability to get along with everyone, being con- siderate of others, and having a positive at- titude are important to achieve goals you have set. Shawn Nelson adds this: I feel that having a positive attitude in everything you do and also setting goals for yourself will help you achieve anything that you ever try to accomplish. Carrie Haberlack concludes with these words: Being a leader means getting involved in your school, taking pride in what you do, and setting high goals so you have something to reach for.
