The Class of 1955 started their high school days in 1951. We increased and decreased members, finally settling with twenty-four ambitious workers. In September, after we got into the rhythm of school, Mr. Sampson, our class adviser, aided us in selecting officers. The officers elected were: Gordon Murley, president, Lois Jennings, vice- presidentg june Wilhelrni, secretary, Joanne Coop, treasurer. Ferne Scbinimel and Henry Sing were our representatives in the Student Council. Gordon Nlurley, Earl Shearer, Hcnry Sing and Tom Kemp were on the varsity basketball squad. Jay Erickson and Joe Guglielmetti were on the junior varsity squad. june Wilhebni and Lois Jennings were chosen as cheerleaders. Advanced band members were: Joanne Coop, Earl Shearer, Henry Sing, Edward Stegman, and Darlene Enger. Beginning band members were Carol Dixon, and jay Erickson. Our class was also well represented in F. H. A., F. F. A., and chorus. November 13, 1953, was an exciting day for us. That evening we presented our Junior play. The title of the play was You Cdllif Kim Caroline. The main characters were: Cordon Murley as joe: june Wilhelmi as Caroline: Carol Dixon as Ma Rand, and Sophie Konjcvich as Susie, How excited we were when we ordered our class rings in November! What a thrill was ours when the rings came after Christmas. Of course the big project for the year was sponsoring the 1954 Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom. Sale of Christmas greetings of various kinds gave us a good start toward financing the enter- prise. Profits from operating the refreshment con- cession at athletic events increased our balance so that we were able to carry out our plans. This event was truly the gala occasion of the year.
